The Shores at Waikoloa
Located 18 miles north of Kona International Airport within the sunny Waikoloa Beach Resort area, the Shores at Waikoloa is a gated vacation-condominium property. These well-built two- and three-story buildings consume some 11.4 acres within the Waikoloa resort, and are surrounded by palm trees, various shrubs, foliage, flowers, and several large lagoons. Each unit is equipped with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and cable TV. High speed internet access is available upon request.
The Shores swimming pool area lies in a private setting within a half-minute’s walk from your vacation condo in 204. Here guests may cool off in the freeform pool, lay back on a lounge chair and soak up the sun, or indulge in the whirlpool spa. Also on the Shores grounds are two tennis courts and a fitness center. All amenities are available to Shores guests free of charge.
Anaehoomalu Bay. A local beach is easily accessible from this condo’s location, approximately three blocks away on foot or less than a five-minute drive. Protected by an offshore reef, the mild waters of “A”-Bay are ideally suited for snorkeling, diving and swimming. An on-site rental shack provides snorkeling sets, kayaks, umbrellas and other items as well as various charter cruises. Within the beach is a large, ancient fishpond that was used by Hawaiians for raising mullet. A trail surrounding the pond displays sacred petroglyphs (carvings) along with educational signs. In addition, a portion of the state’s Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail provides a fine place to walk and explore natural sites along the coastline.
